Randall Zwarte' Band
by Diana Rowe, Singles Entertainment-Denver,CO

If you're looking for a classic rock experience, you need look no further. The Randall Zwarte' Band is relatively new to the Denver scene, but by no means are these guys wet behind the ears. This band has sold hundreds of thousands of CD's, T-shirts, memorabilia, and concert tickets and has accomplished this without ever having signed a major-label recording contract.

This band began with Randall Zwarte' and his underground smash 1991 hit "Lucy."

Originally from South Dakota, Zwarte' plays the part of lead vocals and rhythm for the band, and his vocal sound is truly all his own. In fact, Randall once described the band's signature rock sound as "Tom Petty with an edge."

Originally from Buffalo, NY, now calling his home Omaha, Edmund Filarecki plays lead guitar for Randall Zwarte' Band. "Hands down," says Zwarte', "Eddie is the fastest guitar player ever seen."

The Randall Zwarte Band first wooed the Denver crowd at Thunder Mountain's Harley Davidson grand opening, a mid-afternoon show to a crowd of 18,000. Some of you may vaguely recognize The Randall Zwarte Band (perhaps through an alcohol haze?)

This band is hot-hot-hot at most major biker rally events, like Sturgis and Daytona Beach. Zwarte' is also known for the song "Sturgis," which is now the anthem to that legendary motorcycle rally.

Did I hear Sturgis? The Randall Zwarte' Band just finished filming a full-length documentary, filmed behind-the scenes in Sturgis. All Randall would tell me is that, "The movie Road To Sturgis will premier in 2005 and features some really cool Sturgis adventures-anything from midgets beating up one of our band members to haunted houses." They have also recorded a movie soundtrack that will be out in May 2005.

The Randall Zwarte' Band gained their popularity throughout the Midwest after picking up one of the most sought after drummers in the country George Welder, and bringing back the other half of the best rhythm section touring, Baron Duncan on bass guitar.

Now they're being let loose in Denver and all you'll be able to hear is the audience going wild!

To check out the location of their gigs, or to book the Randall Zwarte' Band, go to their web site:, or call (605) 351-7767.

What makes these guys rock? Zwarte says it best himself, "Everybody has given up on the classic rock sound, but that's the Randall Zwarte Band's bread and butter. From Main Street Sturgis to Daytona Beach, from Sacramento to West Virginia, if the Randall Zwarte' Band were traded on Wall Street- buy with both hands!"
